Peran Media dalam Membangun Dialog Antarbudaya di Era Globalisasi

This study examines the role of social media, particularly Instagram, in facilitating inter-community dialogue in the context of globalization, which is characterized by increasing intensity of interaction between social and cultural identities. The purpose of this research is to analyze how Instagram functions as a digital space that enables the exchange of values, strengthens cross-cultural understanding, and fosters the formation of collective identity in a multicultural society. The researcher employed a descriptive qualitative research method through a literature review by analyzing content from five Instagram accounts with cultural themes published between January and April 2025. The study's results show that delivering religious messages on Instagram that combine visual and narrative elements can increase audience engagement, trigger constructive dialogic interactions, and open up opportunities for collaboration between communities with diverse cultural backgrounds. The findings show that Instagram serves not only as a means of disseminating religious information but also as a digital public space that contributes to strengthening the values of tolerance and Islamic literacy. This study provides theoretical and practical contributions to the development of digital da'wah communication studies based on social media that are oriented towards strengthening intercultural dialogue and multicultural education.
