Peer Review Process
Manuscripts received by Journal An-Nafs: Kajian Penelitian Psikologi will be reviewed through several stages:
- The review process may take up to three months to be completed.
- The editor will evaluate whether the sent manuscript conforms with the journal template, the purpose and scope of the journal, and the methodology used (rejected if it does not meet the criteria or the editor can request revision based on the initial review). This process may take 1 – 2 weeks after the submission.
- The submitted manuscript must be free of plagiarism content, and the maximum limit of similarity is 25%. The manuscript will be rejected if the similarity is high. However, the author will be asked for clarification if the similarity is low.
- At least two peer reviewers will review the submitted manuscript. Reviewers do not know the author's identity, and the author does not know the reviewer's identity (double-blind review method). A review of the manuscript will pay attention to the novelty of the writing, the theory used, the method used, the results and discussion, conclusions and suggestions.
- Records given by reviewers will be discussed in the editor's meeting to decide whether the manuscript is rejected, requires major revisions, requires minor revisions, or is accepted.
- If the decision is a revision, the author will be contacted to revise the text and must be returned to the editor without delay. Returning more than three months will be considered a new manuscript submission.
- Revised version should follow the same requirements as for the final version to format the paper, plus a short summary about the modifications authors have made and author's response to reviewer's comments.
- After the author has revised the manuscript and returned it to the editor, the editor will make the final decision.
