Responsiveness to problems is a social skill that students must have. But the reality is that many students do not have good social behavior. So there is a need for a learning model that can improve students' social skills. This study aims to determine the learning process using a problem-based learning model in the social studies material of grade 6 MI Hidayatus Shibyan Jatirogo Tuban students. The research method used is descriptive qualitative where researchers describe field findings qualitatively and use interview, observation and documentation techniques in data mining. The results found were the use of a problem-based learning model carried out by grade 6 MI teacher Hidayatus Shibyan as an effort to improve the social skills of students who had been judged by student teachers to lack good social behavior. This is shown by the attitude of students who have not been able to cooperate and have not been responsive to the problems that exist around them. Through social studies learning with a problem-based learning model, it is hoped that it will be a stimulus to form a student character that is full of sympathy, empathy and able to adapt to problems in their environment.
