It is basically author’s duty to only submit a manuscript that is free from plagiarism and academically malpractices. The editor, however, double checks each article before its publication. The first step is to check the similarity index with iThenticate (only texts with a similarity index no more than 30% are accepted for further review). Secondly, the first step is taken again after the text is declared worth for publishing by the review team.
