Abstract

Teaching and learning activities at school can take place well if there is reciprocal communication between teachers and students and between students and students. Usually, classroom teaching still focuses on the teacher as the only source of knowledge, then lectures become the main choice of learning strategy. So boredom and lack of activity among students are the main problems of MI Kunuzun Naja Wonotengah Purwoasri's less than optimal learning process during the learning process. This mathematics tends to still often use the teacher-centered method. So, on average, many students experience boredom and are passive in learning. By paying attention to the brief description above, the author tries to provide an alternative learning model, namely the snowball-throwing learning method. The conclusions of this research are (1) Through the learning action cycle, appropriate learning steps were found using the Snowball Throwing learning method (2) Through the Snowball Throwing learning action cycle, it has been proven that it can improve student learning achievement by calculating the volume of cubes and blocks (3) Through Snowball Throwing learning action cycle has been proven to increase students' learning activities in calculating the volume of cubes and blocks.
