Penerapan Metode Role Playing pada Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia Materi Cerita Rakyat untuk Mengasah Keaktifan Belajar Siswa di Kelas V SDN 1 Ketol

Materi cerita rakyat adalah pembelajaran yang biasanya membuat siswa jenuh jika hanya membaca teks cerita. Di SDN 1 Ketol Kabupaten Aceh Tengah, pembelajaran cerita rakyat sangat menarik karena menggunakan metode role playing. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan metode role playing dalam mengasah keaktifan siswa dan kendala yang dihadapi guru dalam menerapkan metode tersebut. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Peneliti menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi untuk mengumpulkan data. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, verifikasi data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Juni 2024 di SDN 1 Ketol. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa metode ini dapat mengasah keaktifan siswa, diantaranya; 1) Siswa antusias memperhatikan penjelasan guru,2) Siswa aktif bertanya, 3) Siswa senang bermain peran, 4) Siswa senang berdiskusi, 5) Siswa mampu memecahkan masalah, dan 6) Siswa mampu mempresentasikan hasil diskusi. Kendala yang dihadapi guru adalah; 1) Sebagian siswa kurang percaya diri, 2) Siswa menolak satu kelompok dengan teman yang kurang akrab, 3) Terkadang ruang kelas kurang kondusif karena sebagian siswa berbisik saat belajar.
