Al-Karim: International Journal of Qur’anic and Islamic Studies is a high-quality open-access peer-reviewed international journal dedicated to advancing Qur’anic and Hadith Studies within the field of Religious Studies through rigorous, text-centered, and context-sensitive research. The journal positions the Qur’an and Hadith as normative texts as well as sources of meaning that are historically, socially, and culturally embedded, examined through historical-critical, hermeneutical, comparative, and socio-cultural approaches. Al-Karim welcomes studies on tafsir and hadith interpretation, reception and recontextualization of sacred texts, Islamic spirituality and intellectual traditions, gender and ethical discourses, interreligious relations, and Muslim social transformation in contemporary and global contexts, particularly beyond the Arab world.
