Educators are good role models for every student and professional educators are the determinants of quality education. This study focuses on character education which is closely related to the professionalism of educators from the perspective of Hadratussyaikh Hasyim Asy'ari in the book Adabul 'Alim Wal Muta'allim. The professionalism of educators in the book Adabul 'Alim Wal Muta'allim is explained in 3 parts, namely the morals that must be possessed by an educator, the morals of an educator in teaching and the morals of an educator to students. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of library research. This research takes the main source of the book Adabul Alim Wal Muta'allim by K.H. Hasyim Asy'ari in addition to taking sources from books, journals and so on as research support. In this study, it is emphasized that educators with character are in accordance with the perspective of Hadratussyaikh Hasyim Asy'ari in the book Adabul 'Alim Wal Muta'allim. Which instills character values in an educator, which will have a big impact on the progress of the nation, because the progress of the nation is measured by the quality of the nation's character
