Author Guidelines

BHAKTI: Jurnal Pengabdian dan Pemberdayaan Maysarakat, is a proper channel for publication of papers in Society Development and engagement. Manuscripts reporting experimentation or research in field crops will be accepted for review as papers.

GUIDING PRINCIPLES

An acceptable manuscript will meet the following general criteria: it reports a worthwhile contribution to science, sound methodology was used and is explained with sufficient detail so that other capable scientists could repeat the experiments. Conclusions are supported by data, manuscripts is concise, well written, and understandable.

MANUSCRIPT FORMAT

The manuscript should be uploaded to Bakti: Jurnal Pengabdian Dan Pemberdayaan Maysarakat system and arranged in standard format, Title, Authors, Address and Email, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Result and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgment and References. Typed at one side of white paper of A4 size, in single column, 1. space line, 12 point Garamond font and should be given line numbers. Margins on all four sides are 2 cm.

(The title has to reflect the issue and focus of community service, subject of devotion, action and strategies, and the purpose of expected social changes)

Abstract: contains the issue and focus of community service, subject of devotion, the purpose of community service, methods/approaches/strategies of community service research, and the results of community service (maximum 150 words).

Introduction (Garamond, size 12)

Contains the description of the situation analysis or objective conditions of the community service subject (assisted community), issues and focus of service, reasons for choosing community service subjects, and expected social changes or community service goals supported by qualitative and quantitative data, and supported by relevant literature reviews. (Garamond, size 12, Spacing: before 6 pt; after 6 pt, Line spacing: 1.)

Method (Garamond, size 12)

Contains the description of the joint community action planning process (community organizing). Explain the subject, place and location of community service, involvement of assisted subjects in the process of community planning and organizing, and research methods or strategies used in achieving the expected goals and stages of community service activities. The planning process and strategy/method are explained through flow charts or diagrams. (Garamond, size 12, Spacing: before 6 pt; after 6 pt, Line spacing: 1.)

Result (Garamond, size 12)

This section contains the description of the community service process results, namely the explanation of the dynamics of assistance process (a variety of carried out activities, forms of technical or program action to solve community problems). It also explains the emergence of expected social changes, for example the emergence of new institutions, changes in behavior, the emergence of local leaders (local leaders), the creation of new awareness towards social transformation, and so on. Discussion (Garamond, size 12)

Contains the discussion resulted from the description of community service and theoretical discussion that is relevant to the findings of community service. This section also discusses the theoretical findings of the service process from the beginning until the social changes occur. The discussion is supported by references and theoretical perspectives provided by relevant literature reviews. The reference must apply Turabian Style. Conclusion (Garamond, size 12)

This section contains the description of result conclusion toward community service in the form of theoretical reflections and recommendations. (Garamond, size 12, Spacing: before 6 pt; after 6 pt, Line spacing: 1.)

Acknowledgements (Garamond, size 12)

Contains the descriptions of acknowledgements or acknowledgements to parties (individuals or institutions) who are directly or indirectly involved in the success of community service program activities. (Garamond, size 12, Spacing: before 6 pt; after 6 pt, Line spacing: 1.)

References (Garamond, size 12)

The literature listed in the References contains only the sources referenced or included in the article. Please use Reference Manager Applications like EndNote, Mendeley, Zotero, etc. Referral sources should provide 50% of journal articles, proceedings, or research results from the last five years. Writing techniques bibliography, using the system cites Chicago Manual of Style 16th edition (full note).
