Indonesian Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences is an  peer-reviewed, and open-access journal that publishes high-quality and innovative research in the fields of humanities and social sciences. The journal promotes theoretically grounded, methodologically rigorous, and internationally relevant scholarship that contributes to global academic debates.

The journal covers sociology, anthropology, political science, law and legal studies, psychology, economics, communication and media studies, history, philosophy, cultural studies, linguistics, literature, religious and Islamic studies, education, and basic education, as well as applied social sciences. It welcomes interdisciplinary, comparative, and context-sensitive studies on social transformation, cultural dynamics, religious life, educational practices, legal developments, and socio-economic issues.

The journal emphasizes the integration of micro-level social analysis and macro-level structural perspectives to generate transferable knowledge and original theoretical contributions. It prioritizes methodological transparency, analytical rigor, and strong conceptual frameworks in empirical, theoretical, and review-based research.

By strengthening international editorial and peer-review standards and amplifying scholarly voices from Indonesia and the Global South, the journal aims to serve as a credible and influential platform for advancing humanities, social sciences, and interdisciplinary scholarship worldwide. Published four times a year, namely March, June, September, and December.
